According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnamese
firms would benefit greatly from expanding distribution systems for
fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in rural markets.
The role of firms remained critical in expanding points of
sales and building a solid distribution foothold in rural markets where
local residents had a thirst for locally-produced goods, according to
the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
The traditional cultural features of rural markets are being used in
modern distribution channels to develop and advertise agricultural
products from northern provinces.
